Dartmouth Show 2/25/12

Hello parents,

This Saturday will be our first show, and we travel to Dartmouth MA. We will be rehearsing on Saturday from 9 am to noon.

At noon we will pack the truck. The bus will depart at 1:15 pm.

A Line is scheduled to perform at 5:43 pm.

Open Line is scheduled to perform at 8:17 pm.

The show concludes at 9:05 pm. We will stay for the Staff Critique.

Tentatively we will depart Dartmouth by 10:30 pm, and arrive home approximately 1:00 AM

Students should pack a lunch for the ride up to Dartmouth, and we will eat dinner at the show, so they should plan on bringing some money for dinner. Snacks for the ride home is a good idea too.

Open Line - Nancy Holinko, Lane Whitmoyer, Clark Gingras, Rudy Granata

If anyone else would like to go along to help out, there are a few seats available. Please let Mr. Whitmoyer know asap.

If you cannot commit to this weekend, please let Mr. Whitmoyer know so he can find a replacement.

Rehearsal Schedule - Week of 2/20/12

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK

A-Line – Tuesday – Rehearsal at THS. 4pm - 9pm. If you can get there by 3:30, we have some things to unload from the trailer and the big truck.

Thursday - Rehearsal at THS. 5pm – 9pm. Bring uniforms for Friends and Family Preview show at 8:30 pm. We will end rehearsal at 8:00, so we can change into uniforms.

Open – Tuesday – Battery 4pm to 9pm / Pit 5pm to 9pm. Please come early to unload the truck. Battery is coming early to finish learning drill for Part 6, so we can put it together for the evening. Bring your uniforms so we can see what needs to be altered. If your pants are too long, you may want to get this done prior to Tuesday if possible.

Thursday – Everyone 4-9. Bring uniforms for Friends and Family Preview Show at 8:30. We will rehearse until 8:00 and then stop to change into uniforms for the show.

Saturday - A separate post will be sent out specifically detailing our Saturday trip to DARTMOUTH.

Rehearsal Cancelled for 1/21/12

Due to the impending storm, rehearsal for both A-Line and Open on saturday 1/21 is cancelled.

We will resume on Tuesday evening, at 6:00 pm.

Winter Percussion 2012

Welcome to the 2012 Winter Percussion Season! Beginning our 9th year, we are planning on having the most exciting season to date as we premier our second Winter Line, the Trumbull Winter A-Line Ensemble. Trumbull is the first Connecticut high school to my knowledge to field TWO viable winter percussion ensembles.

The audition process has been completed, and members have been placed in the ensembles accordingly. Please send in your Winter Participation Fee, ($350) as soon as possible. We have many start up costs with the purchase of drill, music, a floor, and ordering costumes. We need some capital to begin our journey. Thank you for seeing to this at your earliest convenience. You may either hand it to me directly once rehearsals resume, or send it in to the THSGEMB PO Box.

We are taking a well deserved break during the weeks of November 21st and November 28th. Rehearsals for Open Line will resume Tuesday December 6th, and for A-Line Saturday December 10th. Rehearsals on Saturday 12/10 and Saturday 12/17 will be from 9-1.
