It is with great pride and pleasure for me to announce that Trumbull Winter Percussion has been in the Finals Round of the Indoor Percussion World Championships in Dayton for six consecutive years in a row! Although the scores do not seem to reflect this, it was one of the most competitive Open classes in recent memory. You continue to roll with the "Best of the Best" in the Open level Activity, year after year. Your growth as an ensemble ceases to amaze me. To think that we will say goodbye to only two seniors this year, reminds me that perhaps the best is yet to come!
The staff has already had serious discussion about the direction we will follow for next season, including concepts and show design. We begin anew as we attempt to train and prepare our younger members for increaased responsibilities in the ensemble. Many of you are hungry for a spot in the battery, or perhaps a new assignment in a new section. We will spend the off season working hard to prepare you for our Fall auditions in early to mid June.
