Steve Surina - Visual Technician


Steve is an alumni of the Trumbull High School Marching program and began his journey in 1983 as a saxophone player. Since graduating, he continued with the organization as a visual instructor, a position he holds to the present day. Additionally, he furthered his performance experience as both a cymbal and baritone player with the Sunrisers Drum and Bugle corps in 1985, 1986 and one of their DCA championship years, 1988, as well as performing with the Westchester Brassmen from Harrison NY in 1992. 

For the past several years, Steve has designed, written and taught for various high school and college level indoor and marching organizations including Trumbull, Brien McMahon, Newtown, Wolcott, Sacred Heart Univ. (Connecticut), Washburn University, (Kansas) as well as the Raiders, Hurricanes and 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. 

Steve is an Information Technology Manager for the accounting firm of DHL&S in Shelton CT and resides in Trumbull. He is thrilled to be part of the 2015 Trumbull Percussion ensemble and looks forward the upcoming season.
