Abigail Frazier - Bass Technician

Abby’s musical career started outside of the marching arts. From grade school up through her sophomore year of high school, she played both violin and string bass in many orchestras and jazz bands, both in locally in Trumbull and throughout Connecticut. After hearing about the Winter Percussion’s trip to Dayton in 2006, she joined the winter percussion program for the 2007 season’s production of “Contrast” on the school’s first cymbal line.  She later went on to play both bass and snare in her career at Trumbull High School. She has helped to earn two drum trophies in the fall, had the privilege of marching in the 2009 Inaugural Parade in Washington DC, and earned two WGI silver medals in the “Science of Music” and “Fear.” After leaving Trumbull High, Abby went on to play tenors as the drum line section leader at the University of New Haven in 2009 (their inaugural year).

Abby currently holds her Bachelors of Science in Magazine Journalism with a minor in Nutrition from Syracuse University. She will be returning to school to pursue a second degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management this fall. She is returning for her second year on the percussion staff.
